Groups and Societies Thornwick Bay is a prefect backdrop for many groups, clubs and societies to have day trips/meetings/days out. We have recently hosted visits from clubs and societies, some being vintage motorcycle and classic car clubs Event groups are more than welcome to E-mail for further information. Thornwick Bay is used by film makers wanting to use this location as a magnificent backcloth and has recently featured on "The Royal", "emmerdale" etc. A perfect day out… We have seen many families make some fantastic memories at Thornwick Bay. With the extensive coves within walking distance, why not come and explore as part of a field trip, from wave cut platforms to sea anemones there is something to catch the eye! Thornwick Bay is a paradise with caves and lots of ship wrecks to explore including some German U boats just off the headland. Why not make Thornwick café your base as you and your party head off on an underwater adventure? Our parking area has no time limit – and of course the kettle is on when you are ready for a break. Bacon butties or full English if you feel up to it! Best dived at high water, when small caves and boulder outcrops can be explored. Depth around 8 metres.
